Supervision
As a supervisor I believe it is important for me to understand your needs as a therapist and to develop a relationship with you which enables you to feel safe enough to be open and honest about how you are working with clients and the challenges you might be facing. Clients can bring up all kinds of emotions in us as therapists and can at times be quite triggering which makes supervision a really vital part of the process.
Training and experience
I trained initially with The Gestalt Centre in London where I qualified as a supervisor and went on to complete group supervision training at the Centre for Therapy and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) with Robin Shoet.
I have worked for organisations offering group supervision and currently work for Mind in Brixton, London providing group supervision for their volunteer therapists.
How I work
I tend to work from a relational perspective along with a blend of Gestalt, Humanistic, Transactional Analysis and Person Centred Approach. I also place importance on how past trauma affects clients as adults and how to help clients process this, particularly childhood trauma which is held in the body.
I will encourage you to be curious about what each client is bringing up for you and how to work effectively with this and to understand what this is telling you about the client.
Frequency
This will depend on your needs and the amount of clients you hold but I generally recommend fortnightly sessions.
Cost
Individual sessions are for 50 minutes and cost £80
Group sessions are dependent on the number of therapists and time needed
